Rise to Sunshines

I told my parents about being HIV this past month, they are more upset that why me and why now? Amongst hundreds of other questions.

I didn’t want to point fingers at them and just wanted their support but in some ways they have realized their wrong doing, in it, that by pushing me further in closet when I was trying to come out, they created an environment that I sought my love in quick actions of sex gratification and fake love.

But mainly it is my own faults too, for not recognize my issues at home and perhaps moving out, before things would get this way. I practiced safe sex for as long as I remember and I would only seek a safe sex, perhaps it was though oral or other means that I contracted the HIV but I’ll never know.

one good pointer an HIV person gave me was not to waste your time thinking who gave this to you or why you, chances are that they didn’t know they are positive and didn’t know they were jeopardizing me or anyone else for that matter, secondly its had psychologically to just think about who and how, it just drains your energy and you’ll always be reminded and live in remorse.

I have accepted being gay since I was 18 and now I’ve accepted that I’m HIV person.

I used to think HIV was a death sentence, as I looked at it that way and was always scared of the acronyms, H I V. now I’ve accepted that it’s no difference between HIV and other chronically illness, like diabetic or Parkinson, you take medication every day and you live your regular life.

the extend that medicine has moved since the 1980 is phenomenal and its perhaps for the best and maybe in the next 10 years we will see a vaccine or a cure for HIV.

The pointer I can give to someone who is gay and reading this, is to find out you issues about gay identity and try not to fill the void spaces with meaningless and anonymous sex. Rather by bonding with yourself and coming out to people around you who matter to you, be true to yourself and don’t jeopardizes your health and your future for a quick moment of gratification which soon fades.

And if your reading this post and living with HIV or recently diagnosed, know that you’re no different than anyone else, you deserve to live the rest of your life like anyone else, don’t harm yourself or hate yourself as things will get better, get out there, as there is HIV support groups to join, go and get a HIV specialist Dr that can help you grow both in the field and knowledge about HIV and see others that are HIV and you’ll see they are no different than an average normal non HIV person.

Go harness what your life has to offer as you’re worth it.

Vitamin Therapy Update

After a year of being on the High vitamin intake therapy, My level stayed almost the same, the viral load dropped a little and my CD4 count slowly reduced to healthy 450 now and on one occasion dropped below 400.

Benefits
at first when i started the therapy, i was taking 8 pills twice a day, i was energetic and felt very healthy and good, with lots of minerals and vitamins in my system i was less tired and felt great at the end of the day.

Cons
too much vitamin will make most stomach runny, apparently i wasn't the only one who didn't take the vitamin therapy well at full dosage of 8 pills in morning and at night, i went down to 2 pills twice a day, and i could keep them down and digest properly.

it can be expensive to go on a high vitamin therapy, for me it was free as i was doing it with the study group but can cost anywhere from 150 to 200 depending on type of vitamin you will be doing. it might work for you or your system might reject it.

consult a physician before you try this therapy and if your system cant handle the pills due to digestive track, there are IV method of receiving your vitamins, they cost $60 to $100 and a homeopathic DR can recommend you better on frequency required for treatment.

Naturally Boost Your Immune System

The cold weather is here and so is the flue and infection season, you can fight the cold blues by increasing your immune system and your body function; there are a few steps to this, physical activity, diet, supplements and healthy mind.

Keeping the immune system strong will protect us, but a weak one increases our vulnerability for illness. The immune system is a combination of cells and proteins that assists in the ability to fight (resist) foreign substances such as viruses and harmful bacteria. The liver, spleen, thymus, bone marrow and lymphatic system are interconnected in the immune system’s normal function. The immune system is also involved in the daily maintenance and repair of tissue.

Immune-Booster -There are a number of natural remedies and therapies designed to help boost the immune system.

Emotional health is directly linked to the immune response. Learn to relax and talk about problems that are concerning you instead of bottling them up. Bach flower remedies and some other flower essences are designed to balance negative emotions. They are safe, gentle and an effective boost for anyone.

Physical Activity
Being physically active increases the blood flow to the tissues, promotes cardiovascular for a healthy heart and during the course of work out you sweat the toxins out of your system and by drinking healthy h2o you replace fluids necessary for a healthy body as foundation to rest of your healthy lifestyle.

Get into routine and habit of healthy lifestyle by reducing your social crutches like alchohol, cigaretts and other non healthy habits and replace them with walking or exercising, wish is both beneficial to your body and will boost your self-esteem not requiring you to rely on social crutches to get by in gathering or meetings.

Healthy Mind
If you are stressed, take steps to deal with it as soon as possible- stress reduces many nutrients in our body, in particular the B vitamins. Try meditation, yoga, guided imagery and exercising.

Create a safe environment that supports your health instead of putting pressure on. That means getting rid of toxic elements in your environment, including household chemicals. Using or having toxin puts more pressure on the immune system- making the immune system to work harder.

Suppliments
Picrorrhiza, an Indian herb used in Ayurvedic medicine, is a powerful immune-stimulant that boosts all aspects of immune function. It is safe and can be added to food or drink to make it more palatable and is best given in low doses. It is great for those with allergies and autoimmune diseases.

Astragalus acts as a tonic to protect the immune system, promotes healing and provides energy to combat fatigue. It is particular good for colds, flu and immune-deficiency-related problems, including cancer, Aids and even tumors. There is also some evidence that it is effective in the case of chronic lung weakness. Never offer astragalus in the presence of fever, and always read the label.

If you are chronically ill, you might want to consider seeing a homeopathy practitioner. This type of medicine is gentle and ideal for anyone, and will work at address imbalances on all levels.

Good Antioxidant
Everyone can benefit from a good antioxidant, which protects the body form free radical damage, environmental pollutants and stresses. The main antioxidants are vitamin A, C and E, and the minerals zinc and selenium.

-Vitamin A is one of the most important immune-boosting nutrients, working to strengthen many of the “first line defenses”, such as skin, lungs and the digestive track.

-Vitamin C is essential for the formation of the adrenal hormones and the production of white blood cells, which fight off disease.

-Vitamin E this important antioxidant enhances the immune system.

-Zinc increases the number of infection-fighting T-cells.

-You may want to consider an acidophilus supplement. By increasing the “friendly” bacteria in the stomach you will be better able to absorb nutrients from food.

-Echinacea boost the immune system and enhances the lymphatic function. It also has some antiviral properties, which can help keep infection at bay.

-Aloe vera has many immune-boosting properties and is a good tonic, particularly if you’re constantly under the weather.

Diet
Watch your diet, there is a link between immune problems and diet (a chronic depressed immune system). A diet high in sugar and fat is one of the most powerful immune suppressers. Sugar consumption, especially of refined white sugar dramatically inhibits immune function by reducing the ability of neutrophils to destroy bacteria. Neutrophils are white blood cells primarily responsible for defense against bacteria. The immune-suppressing effect of sugar starts less than thirty minutes after ingestion and may last for five hours.

Garlic, is a powerful immune booster that stimulates the infection-fighting white cells, and increases the efficiency of antibody production. The immune-boosting properties of garlic seem to be due to its sulfur-containing compounds, such as allicin and sulfides. Garlic can also act as an antioxidant that reduces the build-up of free radicals in the bloodstream.

Omega-3 fatty acids, act as immune boosters by increasing the activity of phagocytes, the white blood cells that eat up bacteria.

And finely, don’t forget about the power of healing spices consider adding some of the following to your diet regularly; cloves, aniseed, cayenne, cinnamon and ginger all have a beneficial effect on the immune system. By fortifying our immune system, we can improve the immune’s responses to fight an infection or foreign body that tries to invade our body.

Marijuana Therapy for HIV

Pros & Cons Of Marijuana

Pros

* Marijuana has been used to enhance the appetite of cancer and HIV patients undergoing chemotherapy and cocktails (antiviral pills).
* Studies have shown that marijuana is beneficial in relieving a person from the uneasy feeling of nausea.
* Doctors have made use of marijuana, successfully, in the treatment of neurogenic pain.
* The people suffering from glaucoma, asthma and spasticity have been found to have benefited from the consumption of marijuana.
* Marijuana can help relieve the chronic pain and suffering of people with incurable diseases like cancer, AIDS, multiple sclerosis, etc.
* Marijuana is regarded to be a 'mind opener' i.e. it can help people broaden their outlook and think creatively.

Cons

Short-term Effects
Distorted perception (sights, sounds, time, touch), problems with memory and learning, lack of proper coordination, trouble with problem-solving, increased heart rate and reduced blood pressure are some of the short-term effects of marijuana.

Effects on the Brain
Marijuana contains an active ingredient, delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol or THC that acts on the cannabinoid receptors of the nerve cells and influences the activities of the cells, like pleasure, memory, thought, concentration, sensory, time perception and coordinated movement. High doses of marijuana, when consumed through food, can cause hallucinations, delusions, impaired memory and disorientation.

Effects on the Heart
The heart beat increases rapidly and the blood pressure drops within minutes of smoking marijuana. A person’s heart beat can increase by 20 to 50 beats per minute. A marijuana smoker is three times more at a risk of heart attack.

Effects on the Lungs
Burning and stinging of the mouth and throat and heavy coughing are some effects that are caused by smoking marijuana, even infrequently. Marijuana causes respiratory problems in smokers, such as daily cough and phlegm production, more frequent acute chest illness, increased risk of lung infections and obstructed airways. Marijuana smokers are three times more likely to develop head and neck cancer, as compared to non-smokers.

Effects during Pregnancy
Studies have found that mothers who have used marijuana during pregnancy have given birth to children who are likely to exhibit problems with neurological developments. Prenatal marijuana exposure can cause altered responses to visual stimuli, increased tremulousness, problems with sustained attention and memory and poor problem-solving skills.

Other Health Effects
Researches indicate that the THC found in marijuana impairs the body’s immune system from fighting diseases that result in a wide variety of health problems. It increases the risk of developing bacterial infections and tumors as well.

Hydrogen Peroxide Therapy for HIV

I was informed about about this therapy in 2009 and took me a while to warm up to, but this year as my CD4 count reached below 400 i considered it and started reading more about it.

Hydrogen Peroxide therapy is has been around for a while, it is administered through IV (intervenes) takes about 1 hr to 2 hr to revive the one treatment, I started my first session last week which at first i felt dizzy at first, my arm was cold, and muscle pain started to set in, i revived hot bags to keep the muscle and veins open in order to fully revive the treatment in my system and keep the blood circulation going, but after the 3rd day i felt healthy and lot of sign of improvement like skin tone, energy level and over all healthy.

The treatment consist of Mayer fluid, a bag of 250ML vitamins and minerals, then they inject the bag with Hydrogen Peroxide then HCl (Hydrochloric ACid) which helps figh infection.
i have done an initial blood work done so i can match it after 5 session and after my 10th session, see if this will work or not. i will blog after my 5th session and getting my lab results back.

i have the following excerpt from the clinic and their information about the treatment

Hydrogen Peroxide Inhalation Therapy
Ingredients: Inhalation Therapy - 3% Hydrogen peroxide, Distilled water
Intravenous Therapy - MSM (Methyl sulfonyl methane) 10%, Hydrogen peroxide 3% Pharmaceutical grade, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B Complex, Magnesium sulfate, Manganese chloride

What is it?
A strong anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory treatment. It acts by directly introducing oxygen to the tissues of the body killing all anaerobic organisms (viruses and cancer cells). It also metabolizes biological waste products and industrial toxins into small inactive substances for faster elimination through the liver and kidneys.
Indications: Cancer, HIV, asthma, arthritis, parasitic infection, yeast infection, syphilis, multiple sclerosis

Benefits: Boosts the immune system, elevates energy levels and increases one’s ability to tolerate radiation and chemotherapy when administered before and after treatments.

Who can benefit?
Patients with cancer, HIV, chronic hepatitis, candidiasis, parasitic infection, bacterial/viral infections, chronic fatigue syndrome, syphilis, asthma, periodic antibiotic treatments and those suffering from toxic effects of pollutants, preservatives or pesticides.

Cost: from $200 to $300 one time or sign up for 10
it is not cheap but i hope it works and will do an update blog on this treatment
consult a Homeotherapist and revive your treatment in a professional and accredited IV lab under watch of a administrator and nurse.

Drugs, Alcohol and HIV

Personally I don't drink and have said no to drugs all my life, but i have seen others who life their life with their choices and their body have paid a huge price in order to sustain their lifestyle

Alcohol, drugs and cigarettes are major cause of your immune system to drop, all due to excessive and use of the social crotches mentioned above.

Alchohol
in moderation its believed to relax the mind and bring sugar and antioxidants to the body, you can achieve the same good of antioxidants though pomegranate juice and other fruits and vegetables,
in excessive use of alcohol the vitamin intake through the digestive tracks drop, your liver and kidney works over time to get rid of the fluids, your body becomes dehydrated as your probably not alert enough to drink healthy fluid.

Drugs
drugs in some form like Marijuana can be help full but in excess can be very harmful to the nerve system and other vital organs

needless to say hardcore drugs like Coke, hash, and any dust and pills like "E" or "K" will have negative effect on your body, as it takes energy away from your body in order to fight the infection and keep your CD4 count up, instead your energy will be allocated to bring you back to a healthy and conscious mind automatically, by your brain commanding energy to be used to flush your system and get rid of the toxic introduced in your body which is effecting the PH level in your blood and nerve system.
some of these effects can be temporary at first bu with excessive use and over dose the scars will be irreversible leaving you with memory loss and nerve damages.

Cigarettes
they are sure becoming a expensive habit to have these days, mostly unwelcome anywhere you go and even with help of government on "lets Put it Out" campaigns people still persistently smoke thinking it will not be them that will get sick through it.

apparently studies agrees, cigarettes more effect people around you, as the smokers lugs are already built up with tar and are scared and bruised to a point that its very thick, hence some smokers smoke more and more, due to this catch 22 in order to receive more hits of nicotine they harm the people or their pets around them, as they are not used to the same environment and their lungs are not scared and bruised.

if your HIV person and are smoking PUT IT OUT, your body is already trying to save you from the HIV and don't make it harder as it is,

if you live with some one who smokes or are in an environment that is a smoker, do step away, Don't be a second hand smoker, the studies show its 20X harder on a nonsmokers system when they second hand though a second hand smoker.

Take care of your body and your body will take care of you, HIV is easy to take care of these days, its has become a chronic illness like diabetes, and other, like diabetes with a small amount of insulin and healthy regiment you can live a healthy live and extend your buffer zone before you need to go on medication.

Be Fit and Healthy

I have been diagnosed with HIV since 2007, most people last only few months before their bodies give up and their CD4 count come down and their Dr. has to put them on medication in order to keep them safe and healthy by bringing up the CD4 count.

I have been diagnosed for almost 4 years and haven’t had to be on any medication, though living healthy life and being fit I would say I have extended that buffer period before needing to go on medication though exercise and eating healthy.

To me I have been fighting that day that I have to be on western medicine since 2007, and every time I was more active in the summer I saw my viral load count drop and CD4 count come to a steady level, and in winter when I was less active in the gym and athletic, I saw my viral load slowly increase and CD4 count reduce.

For the past year that I haven’t been working out at the gym I have seen increase in my viral load level and CD4 count has dropped slowly, even I was under Vitamin therapy via pills.

I will be starting my GYM regiment soon and want to monitor myself again and see the result I will be getting, through them. AS the results before by being athletic and fit you discharge toxins out of your body and help the circulation system as well.

High vitamin intake Therapy

CIRC “Canadian Immune Research Clinic” has been testing for the past year with HIGH VITAMIN INTAKE THERAPY.

This procedure called for candidates that are HIV+ but are not currently in treatment, the patient was placed under a very high vitamin intake, both tears were 100% or more in vitamin intakes, 8 pills twice a day with two glasses of water, it was a mouth full and stomach full of pills, patients are allowed to take vitamin D as supplement if they required.

I personally signed up for it as it was only vitamin and benefits were far greater than the negative, as unwanted vitamins would process through the system or won’t get absorbed

My therapy went well for the first few months, but then slowly I started getting Diarrhea and nausea every time I took the pills, and after speaking to the clinic and my HIV Dr. I was advised to reduce the pills to just two with every meal.

So far I have been on these vitamin therapy pills I saw good things come out of them but stomach diarrhea and nausea was too much for me to take at full, apparently some are seeking good result out of them.

This therapy makes perfect sense, as your body is constantly loosing CD4 cells to the HIV in the fight, and producing antibodies to fight the cell and the recreation and duplication of the HIV cell, your bodies relies on the resources that you provide for it by eating and having energy for your body to fight.

by taking vitamin and minerals it helps your body to be inline with the resources it required to fight the battle and be well equiped.

First posting

My current CD4 count has plummeted from the 500s to below 400 counts, and my family doctor who is a HIV specialist, has prompted me that it’s time to go on medication.

I have been HIV positive for almost 4 years, but I want to be able to keep healthy for longer before the need to use chemical pills to increase my CD4 count, especially with their side effects.

In the course of my next one year journey, I will be posting you with my updates on experimentation with alternative medicine and natural medicine to see the result of them, as well as providing links and support group website and information about HIV and AID and its progress on health care and research for cure and vaccines.
